What's Happening the week of 10/2/2005

week #3 of fall series Do the words you speak every day reflect the holiness, majesty, and grace of God? Our study this week focuses on His desire for us to honor and glorify Him with our words every day……, in every situation…..., all the time.

dallas holm in concert Dallas Holm will be in concert at Harvest Point at 7pm Friday, October 21st. The concert is free to public. Bring seeking friends and spread the word!! A spaghetti luncheon to fund concert will immediately follow worship today. Adults $5, children 12 & under $3.

ladies craft night Craft ladies will meet from 6:30-9pm this Thursday (1st Thurs. of each month) in the children’s area. They are looking for person to provide childcare. Contact Susy Harshaw (770) 898-1808.

bible studies It’s not too late to join Disciple Bible Study -a journey from Genesis through Revelation. Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Contact Don or Pam Coffey 678.860.2807. Please be praying for participants as they grow through this 34-week study.

Adventurous Prayer is a ladies Bible study held on Wednesdays. Now from 9:00-11:00am at our church. Childcare is provided, please RSVP. For more info, contact Susan Holly at 770.957.4334.

trunk or treat!!!! Are you looking for a safe, family-friendly alternative to Halloween? Join Harvest Point on Monday, October 31, from 6-8pm for the Children’s Fall Carnival— “Trunk or Treat”.

Children are invited to wear costumes (non-scary please). There will be food, fun, games, hay rides, lots of candy and more. YOU can help!! We will need decorations in and around the building, decorated vehicles where children can trick or treat, games and prizes, etc. Contact Lisa Bates (770) 946-8338. food pantry opportunity Our Outreach Ministry volunteers at “Helping In His Name” food pantry on Hwy 155 every Tuesday evening from 6-8pm. Our item for the month of October is jelly — they have lots of peanut butter but no jelly! If you or your small group can help Tuesday nights, please contact Kathy Stokes at 770-507-0405.
