What's Happening the week of 1/29/06

<s>clothing drive</s> Our Outreach & Children’s Ministries are joining together in sponsoring a Clothing Drive for the month of February.  Beginning Sunday, February 5th, they will be collecting clean, gently used clothing, shoes, jackets, sweaters, coats, toys, and books.  Place them in marked boxes at the entrance to the Children’s area.  If you have questions, please call BJ @ the church office (770) 914-0304.

<s>"helping in his name" food pantry needs mac & cheese</s> Please bring boxes of macaroni & cheese each Sunday in February.  Contact Joe Bostwick (678 432-7830) or Donna Lummus (678 432-1995) if you or your small group is able to help at the pantry on Tuesday nights.

<s>take one….</s> Inserts relating to several of the  ministries at Harvest Point are located in the front of the Attendance Books in every aisle.  Please feel free to take a copy of one or more of these as you seek to learn more about our church and it’s areas of ministry.  We also ask that you be sure to  complete the attendance information each week to help us keep a record of your worshiping with us.

<s>children’s ministry needs you!</s> The Children’s Ministry needs people who are willing to serve in the children’s area on Sunday mornings.  Your commitment would involve one Sunday a month for approximately 2 hours.  Required qualification is a servant heart that loves God and children.  See response card.

<s>2006 LIVE NATIVITY</s> We have a total of 11 sets to create for next year’s Live Nativity.

In January we collected baskets of all shapes and sizes. Thank you to everyone who donated the wonderful baskets. These will be used in building the "basket shop" set.

Men are still very needed to construct sets.  Please call John Fields at (770) 957-1009 for details.  You will need your own tools.

Ladies are needed at the church today to help iron fabric, cut out patterns, and begin sewing.  Do not need to be an experienced sewer.  We are counting on those with experience to assist others.

For more information, call Ginger Buttrill @ 404 432-3444.
